New TV Error code X#3

Setting up a new TV that came with a Cisco receiver and a separate AT&T gateway access point for an existing gateway. The gateway is downstairs by the main TV, thus the access point is right beside it. As instructed, the access point is connected to the gateway with the provided yellow ethernet cable and powered. 

Followed exact steps for connecting the new upstairs TV to the access point, holding the WPS button on the access point and NOT the gateway, followed by pressing the OK button on the new TV receiver as prompted within two minutes. A loading screen followed with a single gear and finished, followed by another two loading screens with two gears displayed. Immediately after, a RED 'X' appeared with the number #3 displayed underneath. From what I've read this refers to a server connection issue?
