new menu issues

I am wondering how to watch my older DVR recordings with the new menu. When I click on the icon for the show I want to watch & then click it again it plays the most recent episode recorded. I often wait & watch 2 or 3 consecutive. With the old menu I just scrolled down to the episode I wanted & clicked (select) on it. That isn't an option with the new menu. Can someone please help me with how to do this?
