my TV has a No Signal message.

I have a S30-S1B  remote. TV in living room  has a message of NO SIGNAL. I have unplugged the receiver to reboot.  Nothing happened.

no signal means your tv is on the wrong input

Try rebooting the gateway first (unplug, wait 30 secs., return plug, wait for lights) and then reboot the box in question.

If the message is a simple "no signal", then that means the TV sees no signal on the selected input.  This could be because the TV receiver is providing no signal.  Or it could be that you've changed your TV input to one where nothing is connected.

If you've verified that the TV is on the correct input, and that the cable is connected, then yes, check the receiver.  Unless the receiver is totally dead (no lights) I would expect that it would put something out to the TV.
