My ISB 7005 cable box doesn't work. How do I get the cable box replaced?
Initially, the power button was not functional and the Link, HD, and Record lights would blink simultaneously at about a 6-7 second interval. I pressed the reset button for 10 seconds and it restarted but never got past the three blinking dots at restart. I then got on the forum and followed the instructions for the non destructive recovery. When I plugged it back in it wouldn't even get to the three white dots, and the Link, HD, and Record lights now blink at a faster rate than before. I tried the box on a separate HDMI connector on my TV as well as a different out and a different TV. I'm quite certain that either the box or the power adapter are bad. What do I have to do to get the Cable box and power adapter replaced, as I am paying a monthly fee for it?

Call 800-288-2020. A replacement receiver (it's not a cable box) will be sent at no fee to you. I think it's 30 days to send the old one back, but the phone representative will let you know. (The time limit has changed a few times.)
Put the old one in the box the new one came in. Take it to any UPS or FedEx location. They'll pack it up and ship it away at no fee to you.

When this problem happened to me, I had to temporarily relocate my 7005 near the gateway so I could perform the procedure with a wired Ethernet connection. In order to know the procedure is working correctly, you have to see the gray gear and progress indicator on the monitor.
If the power brick is the actual problem, Att should send a new one but they may not send the outlet plug wire expecting you to reuse the existing one. I’ve seen either go bad so you’ll likely need to replace that one in your own. It’s a common part.
Lastly, I’ve since placed my equipment on UPS (battery backup) to avoid issues relating to wall power.
