Happy to provide more information on returning your U-verse equipment, HippieGirl2022.

And thank you, baseballisback, for the helpful information. To make sure that you properly return the WAP, check out our article that covers How to Return U-verse Equipment.

The WAP is the small box that basically connects the gateway to the wireless receivers.

If they want it returned, then there's not much you can do. It won't affect your internet service at all.

Funny thing here is that The UPS Store and FedEx Office have historically refused to accept the WAP, i.e. they're not in their return system.  You can try to return the WAP (as @baseballisback says, you do not need it for just Internet), but do not be surprised if you are told they can't check it in.

OTOH, maybe they are running short on these and need some returns so that they have added it to their return system now.

The Direct TV representatives in St. George Utah specifically said that as soon as we delivered their satellite tv receiver, I would no longer have a debt with them and that the account would be closed. We received a letter from a collection agency stating that we owe $290.29. The representative informed us that the debt no longer exists. I'm not sure what to do.

If it has to do with DIRECTV, then you should know that AT&T has spun off AT&T TV / DIRECTV to a separate DIRECTV company.  Please see their forums here:
