HDMI Error H1001 continues

I have exchanged receivers (wireless stb mosel vip2500) several times. Replaced HDMI cables, rebooted system so many times, and complained to U-verse TV customer service so many times I think I've talked to every representative over past 5 years. YET, I continue to receive the H1001 HDMI Error. Apparently AT&T U-verse doesn't care about my business. The issue seems to happen almost exclusively on one TV. It is the TV closest to the WAP and Gateway. Not a threat.but I'm ready to change providers especially considering the cost of having U-verse is continuing to increase.

Have you tried composite cables?

Regarding the cost, you can always try the retention department. I'm in a year of $30/mo off for one year. I'm also getting permanent discounts on my Internet 1000. Your discounts may vary, but you can always try.

This error is an HDCP handshake error between the TV and the Set Top.  It can be the cable, but it can also be the TV.  You might even try a different HDMI input on the TV if it has more than one.

This happens to me on one TV about once every 6 weeks.  Usually I disconnect them and reconnect them and the issue goes away.  If it doesn't, then I have to power off the receiver.

Yes, I  did component and of course HDMI doesn't come into play. But I  don't want to component I want to HDMI. Component is too bulky. My other 2-stbs (1- ISB7005, 1-VIP2500) hardly ever lose HDMI connectivity.

As for discounts, I was given a 1 month discount by the Loyalty team and an apology because there no other U-verse discounts available in my area despite that I am a 3 decades AT&T customer.

But thanks for responding.
