If I cancel my HD monthly fee, what happens to my previously recorded hd shows?

I believe they're still accessible. It's the same way as if you cancel the movie channels or downgrade tiers. Obviously, once you delete that show, it's gone for good.
Keep in mind that you wouldn't be able to watch *any* HD channels.
