Dvr doesn’t play

On main tv there’s a red X with the number 1 beneath it. No picture. Other TVs work but won’t play the dvr

What service do you have?

Red X and a number sounds like U-Verse not ATT TV(streaming tv).

Thank you for your reply. Yes I rebooted multiple times. I had to do a factory reset which deleted all of my recordings.

It seems you have tried a disaster recovery on the dvr. which would have deleted all of your recordings did this help solve your solution if not I have a link   How to Troubleshoot your DVR/Receivers let me know if this helps

Yes the factory reset solved the issue of not being able to TV, but so frustrated I lost all of my recordings.

If you had replaced the DVR you would have lost your recordings any way.

Yes I understand that. My frustration is it has happened multiple times in the few years I’ve had ATT! This service is WAY too EXPENSIVE for this to keep happening. ATT doesn’t seem to care this keeps happening
