Collections Charge under investigation by ATT

My Uverse service was transferred to a new address. Att sent new equipment to my old address and I was not notified. A $210 charge was sent to collections and I found out much later when the charge showed up on my credit. ATT reps and I resolved the issue and the charge was removed from my credit. Now years later the same charge showed up on my credit for the same old account that was close years ago. After speaking with more reps they see the charge is for the same account but have no record of the previous issue. This has now been under investigation for weeks without an update. I called att and a rep from collections does not see a current investigation. Please advise.

Hi there, AT_Customer. We understand that you have had an old account that you have was closed show back up again. That is very strange. Let's look at your next steps together.

Since this looks to be that the previous matter was not closed out properly after it was reconciled, we do suggest that you continue working with collections. It could be that, since this matter has showed back up, that normally means that the clock has re-started. So collections will not have the account yet.

Please give our loyalty office a call at 1-800-288-2020, and they will have to take a look at the closed account to see what could be done.

If there is anything else that we can do for you, please reach out to us again.
