Cisco ISB 7005 blinking lights

Hello @waswagrpn
Do the unplug and plug procedure 3 times spaced by a few seconds each. On the last power up you should see a gray gear on screen. Be patient and allow time for the unit to download its code from server.

THANK YOU to gr8sho and madmax988 for your suggestions. Instead of swapping boxes, tv's, power cords, and cables; I instead "chatted" with AT&T. I got through right away, and he had me quickly try resetting the WAP and WPS. Since there was no change, he initiated a hardware exchange. I hope madmax988 will not get to say "I told you so...." Thanks again, y'all.

The 3 time unplug SOMETIMES works (along with rubbing my belly or patting my head) for my Pace DVR. Cisco receiver is not even recognized/acknowledged as connected to the TV it is paired with, so U-Verse does not even come on. I thought maybe there was a "3 finger salute" for Cisco like DVR has for a hard reset. Still need help, thanks...

I didn’t want to include this part yet because the failure you saw could happen because of poor electrical service.
In order for the procedure to work, your settop box needs to have a solid connection to the gateway. The 7005 is a wireless receiver IIRC. So what you want to do is move the box close enough to the gateway so you can connect it via Ethernet cable. Once you’ve recovered the box and see live TV again, you’ll be able to unplug it and move it back to its original location and pair it with the WAP. Good luck.

Gateway and Cisco are in different rooms, I do not have a cable long enough. Another solution please, or maybe Aminah can start me on the exchange process? Thanks again.

You usually will need to call to get an exchange. You can move the stb box if you have another tv or can move a tv close enough. You can also disconnect DVR box from ethernet and tv and place the 7005 in it's place. DVR box should be on ethernet already, unless you happen to have it running on coax cable. Another thing that happens often is the power supplies go bad. If you happen to have another 7005 or a another box that uses THE SAME WATTAGE power adapter you can try that to see if it solves the problem. DO NOT use the dvr power adapter as it probably is a different wattage. they are usually labeled with a sticker.
You should also try unplugging the power from WAP (the small box connected to gateway via ethernet) and plugging it back in.
Remember: essentially 100% of uverse stbs and dvrs are "refurbished" at this point, and usually fairly poorly refurbished i.e. they just send you a random used one and hope it works. So before you swap make sure yours is 100% dead or you might be in for a lot of swapping to get one that actually works.

My suggestion was specifically to relocate the receiver so it could be nearby the gateway temporarily to perform the procedure. If you're going to swap boxes anyway, what's the problem? It's a small box and not heavy. Anyway, do as you like. Good luck.

Problem with my Cisco ISB 7005 HDTV receiver started when I tried temporarily using its HDMI output instead of its component video outputs. Afterwards, I had no horizontal sync on its component video output. Re-initializing the box by holding in the OK and (arrow down) keys while plugging in the power plug had always got the box working right again. This time-no go. I left the unit unplugged overnight and when I booted it up the next day, it started it's 4 LED ON-OFF blink code. A sure sign of its demise. Called U-verse tech support for a hardware replacement.
