ATT Cisco DVR box with OREI 4x4 HDMI Matrix Switch issues
Sorry if this has been posted before. I just did a complete renovation in my home. Previously I had only two TV's, one in the living room, and another outside. I only had two Uverse boxes, one was a DVR, and the other was wireless with the hub located where the Gateway/Modem was. There were no issues then. During the renovation the cable boxes were in storage for over 6 months. I decided that I wanted to place all of the Data / TV / Xbox / Sonos all in one location in the home on a data rack so I have a clean look at each TV location. I also added a third TV in the bedroom.
I purchased a 4x4 OREI Matrix switch and placed the main hub at the data rack. I then run input 1 for one of the cable boxes, and input 2 is the other (HDMI). What is happening is I am able to get each TV to work on either cable box however both cable boxes will freeze up after a few minute, then display the lost signal screen, then go back to the program and run for another few minutes. Both boxes are now connected through ethernet and at first they were going through my Netgear 24 port switch. When this problem first happened I moved the ethernet connections to the modem (Gateway) directly with no change.
I called ATT who sent a tech out. The tech did find an issue with the fiber coming in and repaired it. We then let the TV run for a while with no issues. The tech did tell me that ATT Uverse does not like HDMI switches so I might run into an issue when watching one cable box on two TV's. A day later the issue happened again when running the cable box on only one TV. I called ATT who did a "reset" on the modem and the cable boxes. The problem is still happening.
Before I call ATT I wanted to see if someone else is having this same problem. I will try tonight to hook up the cable box directly to the TV without going through the HDMI Matrix however I am going to continue to use the Matrix switch so if this fixes the problem then hopefully ATT can replace the boxes or I will have to get rid of them. I also have an email with OREI as well.
Thanks in advance.

Update. I actually got a tech support person who was educated on networking and solved this problem. Basically I was running everything on my network (24 port switch) through one cat 6 connected to one port on the gateway. I was able to take the sonos devices off the Ethernet and connect them through the gateway only on its own SSID. It solved the problem so far.
