Any way to transfer DVR'd shows to new receiver?
ATT says no but I can't believe in this day and age there is no way to transfer DVR'd shows to a new UVerse receiver? We have a new receiver coming tomorrow & can't believe we'll lose all our shows. Cell phones have been doing transfers for ever - but not UVerse?

Sorry, but there is no way to transfer recordings to a new DVR. When you replace your DVR, you will lose your recordings but not your schedule.
I've had Uverse for 14 years so I've 'been there...done that' more than once.

You should believe it. It's the way it is.

I thought it was a lost cause and you all confirmed it.
Thanks for the info - much appreciated!

Yeah, such is the case with every DVR.
I suppose if someone really knew what they were doing...but if they got caught, it'd probably mean big trouble. I don't advise it.
And yeah, I think I'm on my 4th DVR since 2008. The good news for you? Perhaps the newer one will be higher capacity.
