Another outage in my neighborhood
Last week the entire neighborhood where I live experienced a fiber outage (tv and internet) for the entire week. It went out last Sunday evening around 8:00pm and did not come back on until that Friday at about 4:30pm. It was up all through the long 4th of July weekend. Now it has gone out again at about 6:30pm on Tuesday evening. Through these two outage events, the ATT Tech Support has been unable, or unwilling, to tell anyone why the outages are taking place or how long they will last. It just happens that this all coincides with a contractor crew for Spectrum that is running fiber lines into the entire neighborhood. My neighbor stopped and asked them if our outage was related to what they are doing and was told that they cannot do what they need to do while the service is on. Why will ATT not tell anyone this? Why is our continued outage such a secret within the company?
