You are not authorized to watch this content. Please contact your provider

I am trying to login to espn with my userid and password. It allows me to log on but as soon as I try to watch it says "You are not authorized to watch this content. Please contact your provider." Again I wanted to reiterate, I'm not using ESPN plus just regular espn. And I do currently have ESPN on my package. Additionally, I tried this with my computer and it didn't work, as well as I tried this with another app TNT. I have upgraded all devices. I would just like to know how I can fix this problem?

Hi, @armaniedwards21.

 

As Charles touched on in our first response to you, and as I suggested to another customer, you'll want to make sure that you're signing in to the ESPN app with the proper credentials. This error usually comes up when customers sign in with their AT&T user ID instead of their member ID. If you're not sure how to find your member ID, here are the steps:

  1. Go to Profile and then Account Users.
  2. If you have more than one account, select the U-verse TV or Internet account.
  3. Below Member ID info, find your Member ID

Give that a try and let us know if you're still unable to view content in the ESPN app.
