Are these equipment returns part of a service cancellation?

 

They have to be returned (minus the batteries) if you are cancelling service and you didn't purchase them.  If not cancelling service then don't return them.

 

That referenced article in the previous post, in the section titled "What U-verse equipment can be returned?", in the green "bubble" it says "Returned leased standard remote only if disconnecting service".  And in the "What equipment will not be returned?", in its green "bubble" it says "Purchased standard remotes".
