Why is AT&T U-Verse customer service so BAD?

 

I returned 3 TV boxes 2 months ago via UPS store as instructed by AT&T, but they keep adding it to my bill.

Then I am charged a late fee because I am not paying for these 3 TV boxes.

When I call AT&T I only get someone from the Philippines who cannot resolve my issue. 

That is only after I have been on the phone 13 minutes with the voice prompt computer. I recommend you (AT&T) check out how T-Mobile does their customer service. T-Mobile has the best customer service department. I get to talk to a real person in the USA that can solve my problem on the 1st call.

I will never try their AT&T wireless service based on their BAD TV customer service. 

Also, AT&T does bait and switch advertising. They send you a low offer in the mail and when you sign up the bill is twice as much as advertised.

Buyer BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Customer support is a joke.  I've spoke with 8 different representatives today all in an effort to switch from Uverse to ATT TV.  The company is so divided that none of the people I spoke with can do more than one function.  Need something with Uverse, transfer, need something with internet, transfer, transfer, need something with AT&T TV transfer, transfer.  They played ping pong with me for hours with each one transferring and then going on hold.  Half of them with English as their second language and having to repeat what they are saying just to understand.  Sooooo frustrating!!!
