What am I being charged for?

We cancelled U-verse June 2nd 2020, and returned the device.   Each month since then ATT charges $72.74.  We have spent several hours on the phone with ATT agents to request the charge be stopped and ATT credit our payment card for the monthly charges which now totals $509.18   Usually the agent transfers the call to another agent who eventually hangs up.  Any one out there that could give advice on how to solve this issue?    Thanks.

If it is not a continuing charge building up past due, but a new charge each month, then that suggest an account not canceled. You will need to call AT&T and when you get the voice prompt say "cancel". Hopefully one of the retention agents, or a supervisor if needed, can get this sorted out.

This is a public forum of other customers so we don't have access to your bill or account.

Thanks.  We canceled the U-verse 2nd June 2020, this has been verified by several ATT agents.  Problem is no one at ATT can find what the ongoing monthly charge $72.74 is for.

As it is a recurring charge, as opposed to carry over balance and adding something like a $5 late fee each month, what exactly does the line items on the bill say?

If retention and one of their supervisor cannot figure this out and resolve it, then a BBB complaint is the next step.

A canceled account shouldn't be able to have a recurring charge. So this is very odd.
