Uverse - watch recorded shows on computer

We've had Uverse ever since it was available in our area (many many years).  I was always told we could record shows from our computer instead of using remote with TV.  I'm wondering if we can watch those recorded shows on our computer instead of our TV?  Signing in to our account somehow??  I can't find anything that even remotely refers to this (pun not intended..... by the way....).

Thanks so much for any help anyone can give!

We're happy to clear things up for you, @brigsby2!

To answer your question, no. You won't be able to watch your recorded shows from your computer, because desktop viewing is no longer supported for U-verse TV.

We do offer the option to use the U-verse app on smart devices like an iPad, iPhone, or Samsung smartphone to do the following:

  • Stream live TV or on-demand shows or movies.
  • Create your favorites list to customize content on the My U-verse homepage.
  • Set up and manage your DVR recordings.
  • Check the guide to schedule new recordings.
  • Turn your device into a U-verse TV remote control.

Thank you so much for replying!  Sadly, using an app for watching shows on a device as small as my phone or even a tablet is useless to me.  Much too small to enjoy!  But good to know what all it can do - certainly will look into using it for scheduling recordings when I'm out of town.  Thanks again!
