uverse billing error terror

Several years ago I ordered a package uverse with homephone/tv/internet etc.

The service man began the install. When he started to leave, we realized one service was not installed. We were confused. There was an error on the order.

This was on a Friday afternoon. He had to come back on a Monday to finish the installation.

Due to ATT's systems this cause me to be issued an entirely different account number.

However, I was mistakenly billed an entire month's service under the account number that was on the Friday install.

I have never paid this bill - because I DO NOT OWE IT.

It has been an ongoing argument for some time. I have called. I have gone through several levels of very confused customer service people who are clueless and badly trained.

My bill was forwarded to collections - while I STILL HAD SERVICE WITH YOU.

I ended our relationship. You are terrible people. You are still trying to destroy my credit, and even while people, like myself, have lost family during a terrible pandemic, and the economy is crashing all around, you continue to lie, and insist on ruining someone's reputation based on a computer error caused by your company.

I think that the time I have spent building a relationship with my social media followers as a writer should be put to use tackling the topic of why corporations like ATT can continue to abuse individuals like myself in this manner. If you make an error and it is brought to your attention repeatedly over the course of a number of years, you don't have the POWER to say... we can abuse you because we can.

I have close to 80,000 followers and I am considering this topic.

So my question is, why - after many years of calling, asking that you let go of this Fake $119 charge against me, even going through the process of disputing it with the credit reporting agencies, why do you continue to want to use your corporate power to abuse, someone, during a pandemic over your own error for $119? Didn't you profit enough in the last hundred years?

This has been resolved. The struggle has been extreme the last couple years. What I learned was in this case I was mistaken. I had been (Edited per community guidelines) about something and with all the other life crazies never realized my own error.

I can own up to it. Att was pretty cool about this so im going to leave it here. I apologized. And its been taken care of.
