U-Verse App

What is going on with the U-Verse app? I put in my credentials and get an error message indicating "Login Required: Please log in with your U-Verse Member ID (email address). Which I'd done. Repeatedly.  So then I got to spend an HOUR with customer support, getting handed off from agent to agent, asked the same questions over and over again, having to explain the issue over and over again, only to be told (an hour later) that it's a "known issue." That's when I came to this forum, and I'm seeing complaints about this "known issue" that date back for MONTHS. 

AT&T - I know you're phasing out U-Verse. If you're not supporting the app anymore, you should just INFORM THE CUSTOMERS WHO PAY FOR THIS SERVICE EVERY MONTH. Show us SOME consideration, won't you?
