U-v erse app not working
I have not been able to use the U-verse app for the last 8 days on my iPhone and iPad. I have call technical support about 4 or 5 times. They just tell me it's not working. The error message I receive is: Login Required, please log in with your U-verse Member ID (email address.) The same information does still work when I log in to att.com. So I'm typing the correct information I have checked that my iPad and iPhone have the latest updates. I have also deleted the app and re-installed. Nothing works. Does anyone have any ideas on what to try.

I am successfully logging in to the U-verse App on my phone and tablets, so it's not a systemic problem that affects everyone. Do you have an AT&T ID that is combined with your Wireless or other services, or do you just have the one for Internet and U-verse TV?

How do you know you are using the correct member ID?

It's not you, its the App. AT&T told me Nov 17 they know the app has issues. The gal on the phone told me she was first told 2- 3 days, then 5- 7 days, she sounded frustrated herself. Since AT&T is jettisoning UVerse I wonder if there is anyone there capable of fixing whatever the issue it

Figure out the correct member ID to use and you’ll get into the app.

Gr8sho, I wish it was that simple. I know my member ID, its been the same for probably 10 years. After some trouble shooting early last week a U-Verse tech support said, its the app and he would turn in a ticket. He gave me the number of The AT&T Digital Assistance Center. I called them two days later, they told me they have had a lot of calls, that they know the app is hosed up, and they are working on it.

A lot of people have been able to sort this out themselves. Either the email credentials weren’t the correct ones, or, they were able to get in by creating a subaccount. These systems are very specific in their expectations. While I realize the app has issues, for instance the remote control function is borked (highly technical term there), the basic guide viewing and live streaming do work.
See if creating a subaccount doesn’t get you in.

The U-verse app does continue to work for many people. I do not know why it's not working for you, but the best guess is something about your account. I like trying a subaccount!

Creating a sub account worked. Still scratching my head:
1) Why I had to do that when the Account/ID that worked for 10 years all of a sudden doesn't. One more (Edited per community guidelines) ID and password to remember.
2) Why AT&T Digital Assistance Center aknowledged the app had logon issues, many others had reported the same thing and they were working on it.
It wasn't as if the app did not recognize my ID, it was that the app didn't recognize that an ID was provided. App responded as if the ID logon box was left blank when it wasn't.

Creating a sub account worked. I'm so excited to have access to the app? Yeah!
