TV cancelation fees
I am currently receiving a $50 month discount for my U-Verse TV. If I cancel will AT&T retroactively backcharge the discount I will be keeping the telephone and internet. I renewed the contract in April 2023, what would my estimated fees be?

We want to clear up your cancellation fee concern, @krcunningham.
Like @skeeterintexas said, there shouldn't be any service fees or back charging incurred from cancelling your U-Verse service. The only exception is if you cancel before any service commitments end.
If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you for contacting AT&T Community Forums.

There is no contract so there is no cancellation fee but be aware that your final bill is not prorated so plan accordingly.
….and, no, you don’t have to return the discounts. 🙄

Are you saying there are no longer penalties for cancellation?

I haven't paid full price for my internet/TV bundle in quite some time. Originally (as in 2018 or maybe even prior), there *was* an ETF.
As of a few years ago when I call in, I'm able to get my discount extended with no ETF.
Of course, "YMMV" as they say.

I found my customer renewal summary for April 2023 and there is a $180 ETF. Prorated for months of use.
