New promotions for existing customers
Hi, I’ve been a loyal AT&T U-verse customer for a few years now. I was told by a representative that once my promotion ended I can call to inquire about new available promotions for me. I am interested in the current promotions because it offers more internet speed and I’ve been having issues wit my internet. I called and asked for this promotion but was told it is an offer available only to new customers and none are available to existing customers.

Call the 800-288-2020 number and ask for "retentions" as you navigate down the phone tree. See what they can offer. No guarantees they have anything either. And if they do don't expect what new customers get.

That really (Edited per community guidelines). I have not had "realistic/good" experiences with getting promos for a long time. They set you up to have to check for promos separate from one another & won't let you put them together, even though you have a "bundle". They also want you to wait until AFTER the end of the "current" promo & then you have to pay full price. When I did my Internet promo in June, they gave me $10 less than the promo I had & they had some confusing, money-grubbing "rule" that you must get the promo by a certain date or wait until the next billing period, which would again result in FULL charge. I called today, 9/16/21 & the customer service couldn't help me because they were "upgrading" the system. I was told to go online. THERE IS NOTHING THERE THAT ALLOWS ME TO FIND PROMOS FOR CURRENT CUSTOMERS. This PMO!! These services are greedy & don't care about the customers... (I am talking about the company, NOT the poor people who have to deal with the customers.

I got a call from AT&T that if I sign up for your new promotion my bill would be reduced from $195.01 a month to $90.00 a month for two years. Is that for real? I am very hesitant to believe this. The catch is that I have to pay for 4 months in advance now for and would not be charged for 4 months and then the remainder of the time it would be only $90.00 per month. Is this true??? This seems like a con to me. The number I had to call was 866-326-1815. I also was told I would be getting the movie stations free for two years. I never heard of AT&T doing this.

While I am not happy with AT&T right now due to their total disregard for fixing the Uverse app, I will say that I've been happy with their assistance in getting promotions to lower my monthly bill. Since I have gigabit fiber, two 5G phone lines, Uverse, and a landline, I pay them a lot each month.

@Chance1953. That sounds like a scam. Did the "offer" involve buying gift cards?

No it did not offer gift cards, just pay 4 months in advance and then after 4 months it will only be $90.00. What I do not get is why pay 4 months in advance? They knew how much my monthly bill was. How did they know this?
