Moving out of apartment and need to put account on hold for several months
So I am moving out of my apartment at the end of the month. I do not move into my new apartment until the beginning of the new year. Which is a month away. Is there a way for me to put my account on "HOLD" and pay a small fee or do I just do the Moving to new address and schedule for the installation and pay a full months bill when I am not using the service?

Do you still provide this service? Now I stay in 2 bedroom apartments forest hills, the best place for me and my pet. I love it because they received me during the quarantine and this apartment is one of the best where I have ever lived. I'm very happy with it. The neighbors are quiet people. There is a beautiful view around. However, the big problem is in router which was installed wrong by stupid guys. This doesn't work at all. Now I wait to come someone to change it with a new one. Thanks, that the owner is receptive and solves fast all the problems.

There is a way to put your service on hold. However, doing it during a move can cause issues. You may find that you cannot move back into an AT&T U-verse-serviced property when you expect to, which can complicates matters. There are minimum and maximum times you can stay on suspended service. And there is still a monthly per-service charge. If you're leaving the country for 2 months and know you're moving back into your same home, this is a reasonable things to do.
I've seen multiple reports of users who have done it when moving and found several issues when:
(1) Future Home not ready on time, need to cancel and equipment in storage and can't be accessed.
(2) Future home doesn't have AT&T available and you've paid for months for nothing.
OTOH, this may let you keep AT&T U-verse which you otherwise couldn't install new (maybe not).

...back when I thought Internet 18 was fast and the internet speeds had names like Basic, Ultra, Max and Pro.

It is best to contact your service provider and inquire if they offer a "suspend" or "hold" option for your account. Some service providers may allow customers to temporarily suspend their account while they are not using the service, for a small fee or even for free.
If the option is available, make sure to clarify the terms and conditions of the suspension with the service provider. This may include how long you can suspend your account, the cost of suspension, and whether you will still have access to certain services or features while your account is on hold.
