Lowering Bill
I chatted online with a rep who said he would ask for my promo to be extended. He said I would also have to call the Loyalty Dept. When I did, my bill increased almost $40 a month. I'm disabled and on a very limited income and I have been a loyal customer. I'm disappointed AT&T can't do better when they certainly have the power and resources to do so.

Good Evening, is this option available to other people off contract? My bill went up $75 and I have spoken with at least 3 customer service agents and Sandy in Loyalty. I was told I had to pay the excessive amount for around 3 billing periods and at that time, hopefully, usually, a promotion will come up ... maybe. We decided we can't pay this amount based on the "hope" of some promotion becoming available, maybe, someday, so we are set to cancel at the end of the month.
If something is available we would love to stay?

No. ATT doesn't really want to keep customers. I just got my bill and they raised the TV prices by over 40% in one month. The reason is "promotions" expire. Do you want to talk about more promotions that end up expiring so you end up paying even more each time? I do not have time for this baloney. I was content to pay 3x what Sling costs just to keep everything on one bill/provider as a convenience to my time, but now I guess I'll figure out how to cut the cable completely and save a bunch of money. Better use of time doing this once versus trying to figure out promotions over and over as ATT tries to raise my cable bill through this shell game of promotional offers. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. I'm sure someone will close this thread now that I posted just like the last thread concerning bill lowering.

Normally when someone posts in a year-old thread it does get closed, so you're correct about that.
