Incorrect service address
I got AT&T service (Phone, internet, and Uverse TV) at my current address in 1994(29 years ago). Since that time the 911 addressing system has been implemented and all the addresses have changed. I was able to change my mailing address for billing but there is no way of changing the service address. I have had a defective receiver for my Uverse TV subscription for 2 years but cannot get a replacement because it is shipped to the wrong address and then returned to AT&T. I was told by customer service to go to the local store (50 miles away) to get the receiver replaced and address changed only to be told at the store they can't help me. I am to the point that I am ready to cancel all my AT&T accounts including at my business as customer service is terrible.

Unfortunately you were misinformed about receivers & stores. ATT stores can’t do any kind of servicing.
While it is puzzling that the billing address is different than the service address, perhaps if you filed a BBB complaint, someone higher up can straighten that out. BBB complaints are forwarded to the OOPand someone should contact you.
P.S. Uverse TV Has only been around since 2006.

ATT customer Service told me to go to the ATT store. Another failure of customer service. I have been chasing this problem for 2 years and have finally had enough. Look up BBB complaints on ATT and you will see they don't care.
I know when uverse started but my ATT account has been at this location since 1994 (when I built the home), I figured that was obvious and did not need to be clarified.

I originally posted here thinking someone may have a sensible answer to my situation, I mean after all I tried everything I know to do, and yes even a complaint to the BBB which also brought no response. That is the reason I stated they don't care.
After 2 years of trying to straighten this out I think it is absolutely ludicrous to say I have not given them a chance.
It is a simple problem and very resolvable, all they need to do is change the service address.
It is evident some people comment on this forum only to raise their number of posts and receive badges and not to help anyone else.
Good luck everyone.

For clarity, this is a CUSTOMER POPULATED message board and NOT a way to contact AT&T. @ATTHelp might chime in with the offer of a DM but that is not guaranteed.
You have two options when dealing with a service issue: Calling CS or filing a complaint with the BBB. 🤷♀️

I know this is customer populated. I was not trying to contact ATT. That is why I was asking for info someone may have. I have already tried your suggestions
with no results.
Was only looking for someone with real information not (Edited per community guidelines). Thank You. Enough said.
