I want another line in my living room
Was wanting to be able to rearrange my living room called to have another line installed across the room but was told that I can’t have 2 in the same room because they can’t but a splitter for us to be able to have 2 lines in one room is this true. We believe he just didn’t want to climb in the attic to run another line.

So are we to assume that the TV is connected to the DVR which is connected to the modem?
Here's what they did for me YEARS ago: They moved the (hardwired) DVR from the LR TV (wired thru the attic) to the TV in the same room as the modem (office). This allowed us to have a wireless box on the LR TV.
Where is your gateway located?

I will believe your referring to moving the gateway and DVR to a different location in same room...
The gateway has to be a single connection from the NID, thus cannot have 2 separate jacks to relocate the gateway based upon rearranging the room. You could leave the gateway where located and have a different line for the TV receiver, or use a wireless receiver as previous mentioned by @skeeterintexas
The cost to relocate the gateway would be $149... billable charge every time you wanted to rearrange the room.
Could also just purchase a longer data cable and run the wiring around the edge of the room either by baseboard or under carpet... the workaround for those in apartments where drilling holes not allowed and wishing for equipment to be in a different location than the phone jack on the wall... living room, bedroom, kitchen to living room, etc.
edit... you could also hire (pay) a local electrician or low voltage wiring company to run the wiring you desire... believe they charge by the hour including attic work.
