How to return modem?

We were told we have to pay a $200 fee unless we can return the modem box. We are planning on returning it but instead of shipping it by UPS or whatever shipping agency, is it acceptable to go to an at&t store and return it? Please reply because that would be the most convenient.

DO NOT TAKE IT TO AN AT&T STORE.

 

Equipment must be returned through UPS.  If you have cancelled your account, you should have received instructions on how to return the equipment.

have not cancelled account but you replaced a u-verse modem and i need to send old one back.

can you send me instructions and lable for ups so i can get this back to you

I have a modem that I need to return to AT&T.

I have cancelled the order, but have received no paperwork for a return label or instructions.

My account # is *****

Can I take it right to UPS store with just name and account #?

The only hard thing about ups is driving there. Just bring the equipment and provide your account number. The store will package and ship. Doesn't cost you anything.

Or should I just bring it to UPS?

You can return the equipment to any local UPS or FedEx store, just have your account number handy and they'll take care of the rest. If you need any help beyond this, we recommend creating a new threads this one can be closed as any moment due to age.

To be clear, you must return it to a The UPS Store or FedEx Office, i.e. a print/pack/ship store, not the actual carrier's Depots or pickup/dropoff counters in other businesses.

You need only take the equipment and your account number.  They will check in your equipment and give you a receipt.  Hold on to that receipt until you are thoroughly convinced the danger of AT&T messing up your account is past.  They will box your equipment and ship it to the right address.
