How to cancel TV service ???

This is a nightmare. Impossible to cancel in At&T stores, impossible on the website. You must call their 800..... and WAIT !! More than 10 minutes. Afterwards you will be asked for a PIN number you have forgotten, a question that does not make sense, and they will call an old phone number you gave them 10 years ago for verification. Obviously, nothing works, and you continue to pay.... This is not modern at all. Especially from an Internet provider !!!

I am a foreigner, I must leave and come back to my country, and I am obliged to send hours on the phone to attempt to cancel my AT&T services. This is a scandal. Four years ago when I moved, it was the same. The customer service is terrible.

Like most companies you have to call to cancel. This is so they have the opportunity to discuss the situation and try and retain your business. If that doesn't work, they have disclosures to go over.

You would have had to update your contact number on file. That is a number of your choice, so there is no automatic update when you get a new number.

The PIN is for your security. If you've forgotten it and the answer to the security question, then the next step should be having you go into an AT&T store to verify your identity.

You forgot your PIN, security question, and didn't let them know your new contact number when you changed it. No scandal here, just you not taking responsibility for what was in your control.

Hopefully your service agreement has ended as they are not designed for short term service (i.e. months if you are a "foreigner" visiting temporarily). So initial service agreement for internet should be at least a full year. Something to be aware of just in case.
