How do U-verse TV customers claim a blackout credit or is AT&T scamming us
I am confused about the AT&T Blackout Credit for U-verse TV.
If I go to tvpromise.com, select "U-verse TV" as my TV service and my zip code, I get a pop-up which says:
"We’re pursuing every avenue to get your station back and continue to offer temporary bill credits to try to make up in some small manner for this very large inconvenience. We know you have a choice among providers and appreciate your patience and continued loyalty. Thank you for being a DIRECTV customer.
To thank you for your patience, until the situation is resolved, we're offering you a one-time credit of $10:"
Which sends you to a page that says the following and redundantly asks me to identify which type of service I have (DirecTV or U-verse):
"Which TV service do you have?
DIRECTV or U-verse credits will appear on your statement in 1-2 bill cycles."
All the U-verse button does is log me into my account.
DirecTV customers are told that have to "claim" the credit. So is AT&T automatically providing a credit for U-verse TV customers (I don't know what "offering" me a credit means) or are they running a scam that has no way for someone to claim the credit offering?

On the Nexstar dispute this summer, the credit wasn't immediately available to everyone who should have had access to it. Apparently their information on what zip codes should get it wasn't complete. You can try calling the 800-288-2020 number and tell them that you've lost your Tegna station but that the website doesn't offer you a credit when you log in to the AT&T site from the TVPromise site as you expect.
