go back to uverse
I'm in super big trouble. I thought I had the OK to switch to Direct Stream from Uverse from my wife. Asked her multiple times and thought I got the go ahead so I pulled the plug (cord) and now am subject to her "wrath." She's ill and not very tolerant but I screwed up. She can't get some of her shows like (Edited per community guidelines) ID and Hallmark Mysteries. As she is left handed it's more of a challange to navigate the menu. Is there anyway I (we) can go back to what we had and make her happy? Please say it can be done.

Hi there rlcullen, let us point you in the right direction to get help with switching back to U-verse.
The best option is to give us a call at 800-288-2020 to see if you can re-establish your U-verse service. We also suggest reaching out to the DirecTV Community Forums team to discuss your options for cancelling your streaming service.
If you need help with anything else, let us know.
Thank you for visiting the AT&T Community Forums.

Officially uverse tv is not offered anymore to new or existing customers. Once you cancel it's gone for good.
Unofficially I've had techs tell me that if you get high enough in customer service (ask for customer retention department), and get the right person who knows what they are doing, it is possible to get it reactivated. You have to decide for yourself how many hours/days you are willing to spend on phone to make it happen though. I'd start with customer retention and if they can't do it, try to get transferred to someone who can. If they act like you are crazy hang up and call back again and try with a different agent...they vary drastically agent to agent in what they physically are allowed to do and what they know how to do. But I suspect it will be an uphill battle.
If all else fails you could see if her channels are offered on regular satellite directv, or one of the other over the top providers like hulu live or youtube tv.
Yea directv stream is definitely missing some major channels(sometimes doesn't even have all 5 local broadcast stations)
