fraud?

why am i getting emails from you? I do not have or want service with you thank you. This is an excerpt from one of the several emails i am receiving: " A request for cancellation of the AT&T Uverse account ending in 5147 has been processed."

I could not find a proper email for you folks to submit this problem since i do not have an account with you. So sorry i had to be so public.

If the e-mail actually came from AT&T (with no evidence to that provided), then someone may have improperly placed your e-mail address on their account information.  Seems unlikely, because AT&T accounts come with an AT&T e-mail, and it appears that you "don't have or want" one of those.

More likely someone other than AT&T is attempting to get you to provide them personal information (e.g. a phishing attempt) by pretending to be AT&T.

AT&T Account Management <[email scrubbed]>

yes more likely fraud than bad ATT record keeping. But if ATT had a way of allowing me ask them if it was them or not....

Well, the e-mail address got scrubbed by the forum software, so I cannot see the address it says it came from (which may also be forged).
