Dispatch On Demand
Our AT&T account was charged a $99.00 service charge for a technician to come to our house and install a new Gateway. The old Gateway was damaged by a lightening strike close to our house a few days prior to 8/18/20. We
were never informed during the telephone conversation that there would be a service charge of $99.00 for the
technician to come and install the new Gateway device. Also , the technician who performed the service on 8/18/20
never mentioned anything about a service charge. We feel this $99.00 is not fair because no one from AT&T ever
mentioned it prior to or during the service. The first notification of the $99.00 service charge was when it appeared
on our bill.

During your conversation with CS, was the option of a 'self-install' ever mentioned.
NORMALLY....you get a replacement sent to you for a self-install. You then have 60 days to return the bad gateway via UPS/FedEx.
If you requested to have a tech bring you a gateway and install it, the charge is justified.
