Credit limit exceeded (Uverse On-Demand)

Hello all:
I'm hoping someone can give me a contact number or the contact info for someone I can send a PM/DM to. We ordered the Mayweather/Pacquio fight *yawn* which put our account over some random never heard of credit limit. Our account is at a zero balance and we are big On Demand purchasers for new movies so I called 800-**** (got the number from these forums after searching) to see about getting the limit increased/removed and the woman I spoke with just kept saying we need to pay the bill.

The account is at a zero balance, there's nothing to pay and the billing cycle still has 13 days left. Round and round we went, I can't do anything but chuckle and be a bit annoyed because the young lady kept saying "you have to pay the bill". I even asked her if she meant to pay the bill that will come out in about 2 weeks and she said no, "pay the balance due".

I really need someone else to look at the account. If I can't rent movies for 13 days, fine, but for goodness sake, don't say it's because I need to "pay the bill" and proceed to not make a lick of sense in the process.

@mythoughts You are incorrect, the fight and all of the rest of be bill was paid for immediately with my credit card after I purchased it with the remote, I used the app to pay in full. The account should have been free and clear once the payment posted, but it wasn't. My account has been taken care of by an employee who actually took the time to review the account, unlike the young lady who spewed out answers based on her assumptions. I am now able to order On Demand and my account is still at a zero balance. The accounts have a limit based on the billing cycle, so even if it's paid up, the block is there. A simple phone call should've taken care of it, but the first two just wanted to argue. A rep from the forum actually took the time to explain the procedure, look into the account, and remove the constraint.

ATT CS reps are just incompetent. Our U-verse bill has been averaging $375-400 monthly for 18 years and never been late on a payment .... we rent lots of movies from them. Today we got the “The purchaser exceeds credit limit”! The heck! There is a credit limit? We are not spending $200 on movies. They ruined our night.

So disappointing for all. Day ruined for no reason. Almost traumatizing!!
