Credit letter

Ok so im trying to get a credit letter from at&t stating that i have been in good standing with them and have paid on time for the last twelve months. Ive been calling them for the past two days but no luck. The reason i need this type of letter is for a mortgage lender i am working with. I need to show proof that ive been with at&t for the last 12 months and have always paid on time. So my question is, can at&t send me that type of letter?

The account is under my name and i am the one that has been paying it with my own card and everything. I do have good credit but since i am a first time home buyer this lender required that i needed a letter from a company in which i have done business with for the past twelve months and that im in good standing with them. So do u think att can send me something like that?

It might be easier to print up your statements for the last 12 months to show them that the bills were paid on time.

That information is available online.  Log onto your Uverse account and look under "Billing, Usage, Payments".  You can get PDF files there.

Hi @Herrera95

We can look into this for you and refer this to a billing manager. Please send us a detailed message by clicking here. Be sure to include your:

  • Name
  • 9 digit U-verse account number
  • Phone number

We will get back to you as soon as possible via email. In the meantime, let us know if you have any other questions or concerns!

I have tried calling 3 times, and going to the store and no one could help me with the same issue. I was recently on the phone with them this evening being bounced from billing to legal and back to billing only to get hung up on. I finally did get to talk to someone the 2nd time I called them this evening only to be told by a manager in billing that they do not write credit reference letters even though i told him I had seen this post on the forum which led me to call the customer service line to which he said "we've never done that". Did you have any luck getting your letter?

I’m also looking for a letter of credit to assist my lender. Have there been any improvements to this process, since six years ago and the previous posts?

We'd be happy to address your inquiry about a letter of credit, Petersun.

AT&T does not provide letters of credit. Instead, you will need to print out your payment history for the time period that you need. Just view your payment history online and follow theses steps:

  1. Go to My bill
  2. Scroll to and select Payments. Have multiple accounts? From the dropdown, choose the account you want to view.
  3. Under your recent payments, select More payment history

If you have any other questions, please create a new thread. This one is 6 years old and subject to being closed, which would prevent us from responding to you.

Thank you for visiting the AT&T Community Forums.
