Billing problems once again.
i have been a customer for over 10 years. never had late fees, always paid my bill on time. i have an increase of almost $80 on my current bill. no one at ATT can help my to get rid of this increase. this is totally unacceptable and a total lie on behalf of the company where they say they care about loyalty. its complete garbage. i am now willing to switch to my local cable company, although i do not want to because when it got installed, the technician took a full day at my home, preventing me from going anywhere. he even locked his keys in the vehicle and had to call someone to get it out. but now, with the disrespect i am getting, im willing to change companies. this is it. im just asking to change my bill to what it was. how can i get this simple request get moved to the higher ups at ATT?

I want to buy a 2021 car for what the same model cost 5 years ago.
I want to buy bread for what it cost 4 years ago.
I want to buy gasoline for what it cost 12 months ago.

$80 increase in one month or $80 increase from 10 years ago?
I've have Uverse since 2007 (14 years thankyouverymuch) and I'm sure my bill has increased substantially in those 14 years. I'm old and have no recollection of what it was 10 years ago but I do know that everything goes up according to costs and/or inflation.
That being said, compare your most recent bill with a previous bill and determine WHERE the increased cost is being reflected. You can call CS and ask for "Retentions" and see if there is anything they can do for you....but I wouldn't bet on an $80 discount.

Yes, please, more details!
Like did you sign up for a new promotion a year ago (or 6 months or whatever)?
What line items changed from your April to May bill and by how much?

Since Uverse TV is being phased out with NO new accounts being offered, the discounts are few and far between.

If you got a credit card with a lower promotional interest rate, would you expect to be able to call them at the end of the promotional period and lower the interest rate back to the initial one?
Promotional rates are intended to acquire new customers.

As stated Uverse IPTV service has not been offered since March 1, 2020.
If looking to lower your monthly bill will need to either lower TV package, reduce the number of receivers, or move to a different TV service.
ATT currently offers both DirecTV (satellite dish) or ATT TV (streaming internet service). 2 year contract with both have discounts in months 1-12 and full price in months 13 to 24. They also have early termination fees (ETF) for remaining months on contract if wish to cancel before 24 months.
ATT TV has a 2nd option, no contract, no ETF, no equipment but no real discount either... just paying price from the start. Each receiver is purchased for $120, no monthly rental fee.

My advice to you is to check out other providers in your area, get their best price, then call u-verse retentions and see if they can match that or be close to that. I'm sure they will be willing to work with you but realize that you won't be able to go back to your old promotional rate. Good luck to you.
