ATT will not honor commitment by sales agent even after acknowledging commitment
I am writing after receiving my first bill for new U-verse service that did not mention a commitment made to me by an ATT wireless phone Sales agent. My apartment complex recently (July '19) received AT&T fiber optic cabling one month after I moved in (June '19). Prior to my move in I contacted AT&T and was told cable and internet would not be available to my complex until August. I went forward with Comcast. In July during a conversation I was having with an AT&T wireless sales person (Kadisha). she asked why I did not have AT&T cable & internet. I explained it was not available, to which she replied, "it is now". She went on to explain what it would cost for me me to have internet and cable service comparable to my comcast plan. It was slightly less than comcast but ATT included DVR which Comcast did not. At that time I mentioned one last big obstacle was that I had a 24 month contract with Comast that I had to pay a $10/month penalty for every month short of 24 months I stopped service. For me, and I explained to Kadisha it would be $10x 23 months = $230. She immediately shot back " ATT will reimburse you for that". I know I asked her to repeat that and she said yes ATT would reimburse me $230 for the cancellation fee and this would have no effect on the two ($100 & $50), visa gift cards that were part of the new service agreement. After receiving my first bill I made numerous calls to various ATT groups (customer service, U-verse, wireless, billing, rewards, loyalty) about why my bill did not mention the reimbursement. Initially I was told that there was nothing in the order about this reimbursement, however, these persons did not have access to Kadisha's notes from the sales call. Finally, this past Friday (8/16) I spoke with Darshana who told me she could read the sales call notes and she acknowledge that Kadisha's had mentioned in her notes of the call that I was to be reimbursed the $230. Darshana then explained the reason this issue was not no mentioned in my bill is because I had not contacted the ATT Rewards program to make a claim. I have nothing in my sale's call notes with Kadisha where she instructed me to submit a claim for either the $230 reimbursement or the $100 & $50 visa cards. She gave me the ATT Rewards email address and phone number if I had a problem. I went to the web site and saw the $100 and $50 visa cards were available to claim but nothing was written regarding the $230. I called ATT rewards and have been told that there never was a promotion where AT&T would reimburse someone for canceling a contract and that ATT was not going to honor the commitment from Kadisha. I called ATT Loyalty group on Monday and was told they could not help me. Earlier today I called back to the Loyalty group (Alex) and asked to speak to a manager. Alex mentioned that he spoke to a manager and relayed that the manager offered ATT could reduce my bill by $10/month x 12 months=$120. I declined the offer as it is the principle of the matter and I just wanted to hear a manager with Loyalty group state while the sales person did make the commitment ATT was not going to honor it. Alex attempted to contact an available manager to no avail. He said he would leave a message for a manager to call me and assured me that someone would call me. This was about 6:30 p.m. EST Tuesday. I haven't heard anything. Just to make matters worse when I mentioned canceling my phone and cable service Alex reminded me I have a 12 month contract with ATT and they would expect me to honor it or pay a early cancellation penalty. It's a matter of principle at this point with me. I will cancel both services as soon as I get another provider lined up and If I end up paying a penalty so be it....

They even lied about their promotions, these people are hopelessly pathetic. And their customer service is below dumpster juice level it does not make trash level at all or what’s left over after this trash is taken out it’s below dumpster juice
