ATT Uverse Customer Service at its BEST!!!

I just want all of you to know how good the ATT Uverse customer service.

 

I currently have U300 with Uverse internet as bundle which is about $95 after promotional discounts. The promotional discount is expiring in 2 days. I called ATT Uverse customer service 30 days before the existing promo expires telling them that its expiring and asking if they can continue the promo or else I need to find a new service provider.

 

ATT Response - Sorry, the promo hasn't expired. So, I can't give you an answer. But, with your account in good standing promo will renew/extended.

 

I call again 15 days prior to promo expiring asking for options

 

ATT Response - As answer as what I received 15 days ago. They still can't answer until last couple of days before promo expires. With your account in good standing promo will renew/extended.

 

I call today(2 days prior to promo expiring)

 

ATT Response - Thank you for calling and I see you promo is expiring in 2 days. Your new bill will be $168 w/out promo offer and currently we do not have any promo offers. I ask for supervisor and get a response that they are having technical difficulities and that I need to call back after an hour.

Now I need to scramble to find a new service provider. What a pain. Should have stayed with BrightHouse.

As far as I know if they don't over ride promotions on the account because you might end confused on your next bill.

 

When this happened to my account I was advised to call back once the promotion has completely ended reached their customer/retentions office and viola, they was able to give me a new bundle.

 

If you really want to keep your att service go give them a call again maybe this time the representative that you will get would be much caring than the other ones 🙂

How long ago was this?  Recent reports are that Retentions is just trying to upsell users then give a discount on that.  Not giving discounts on current services. Smiley Surprised

@mibrnsurg. I completely agree. Just got of the phone with a "Customer Rentention Specialist" and got following option -

Option 1 - Upgrade to U450 for higher cost Or

Option 2 - Downgrade - U200 + Uverse Internet + telephone - This is $120+tax and other fes

 

I told them I do not want telephone coz I have Vonage. But, I was still getting telephone option. I guess don't really want me staying as ATT customer. This is exactly what I wanted to avoid...promo not extending and won't have enough time to switch. I should have went with my gut feel and shouldn't have trusted the ATT thieves.

 

I've already started looking for options outside.

My promo expired in mid May. 2 weeks before it expired I called about a new promo. The sales rep offered me a new promo for the same package I had. The new promo was $20 off and my previous promo was $36 off. It sounds like you got a bad CS rep. I would call again.
