NBA League Pass not working on NBA app

I subscribe to NBA League Pass through Directv.  I am able to view the games on the Directv NBA League Pass channels and my Windows PC on NBA.com but not on the NBA app on my Roku, iPhone, or iPad.  I have contacted NBA help but can only communicate via email.  They said to contact my provider Directv, which I did to no avail.  The Directv technical support person I spoke with said the problem is with the app.  I know I have had similar issues when initially trying to access games on the NBA app in previous years which is very annoying.

Same issue here. Same issue as last year. Same issue as with MLB app. Same laggy responses from Directv.

pharmhound - Don't know if you have the same configuration that I have but I found a way just today where I can view archived games on my Roku, iPhone and iPad.  Not sure if it would work for live games as there are none on at this time. 

For the iPhone and iPad I had to log out of my NBA account and then access an archived game.  It keeps me linked to my DTV account when I do that and it seems to work fine on both devices.  

On the Roku using the NBA app it is not so easy.  I had to sign out of my NBA account and go back and select a game to watch.  The screen comes up that says I have to sign into my NBA account on my Roku using my NBA id email address. Once that sign in process is completed I had to go back and select a game to watch and when the purchase NBA League Pass screen appears I just select not now and the game I selected starts to play, in Spanish for whatever reason, and I just select the stream I want to watch.  Unfortunately if I go back to view another game, this entire process has to be completed to view the new game. 

This is not a fix but a work around as far as I am concerned.  Interested in how long it takes DTV in conjunction with NBA League Pass to come up with a complete solution

Hey, thanks BobZ - appreciate the detail. I'll give that a try. Makes some sense as the NBA ID is looking for "their" LP subscription. If I remember correctly it was about 1/4 of the way into the season last year before they figured out a fix. They never did for MLB. Kind of wondering why I bother going through DTV for these subscriptions instead of directly through the leagues.

pharmhound - I also subscribe to MLB Extra Innings through DTV and had some initial problems the first few days but finally there seemed to be a fix as I was able to view live and archived games without any problems for the rest of the season.

Did you find a fix?  I can not watch Full game replays on the NBA Roku app.  I also try to watch NBA TV and says it is not part of my subscription but it is and I can watch it on Windows.  It says I am signed into both NBA id and DTV.  Very frustrating as I travel a lot and can not watch live often.

spikespead -  Try signing out of your NBA account and the selecting the live or archived game you want to watch.  I have found that by signing out and then selecting the game you want to watch seems to work.  Until they fix this issue I have found that for me, either signing in or signing out of my NBA account allows me to watch a game. Just make sure that whenever you do either go back and select the game you want to view to see if it works.

I am having issues again this year.  I can not watch on NBA app or PC.  I was told on phone just  now they are aware of issue and not just me.  They do not have a time table for resolution just keep re logging in.  After ESPN and this I might be done.  It does not work but probably would not give money back.

I subscribe to the NBA League pass through Direct TV.  I am able to watch the games on the Direct TV NBA League Pass channels. I am unable to watch NBA.com or the NBA app on my iPad or iPhone.  I’ve tried logging out of NBA app and logging back in but it does it does not work.

Same here. Seems to be a yearly issue. I've logged out of my nba.com account completely and only click select tv provider for sign in but still getting the "Your plan does not include access to League Pass" when I go to watch a game on the app. C'mon DIRECTV. We pay good money for this package. Unacceptable that major parts of the package don't work.

Same problem here and Directv said it takes their computer 24-48 hours to sync the subscription to my league pass account. I've called Directv three times with no results, yet they still want to be paid the full price for the subscription.

Completely agree!! The worst, every effen year!! This year tops it off, still not working thru the app or computer... "SSN+ success" mine is saying with DirecTV.... Not successful at all!! Terrible!! Does anyone have a solution yet??
