Streaming remote is old school, like from the 70s
I’m quitting direct tv (formerly att tv) because of the remote. Has none of the features that every other tv remote has had for the past 25 years. Using it is beyond frustrating. No caption on and off button. Missing so many features. I’m always hitting Prev instead of FF because the layout is awful, too. I like Att Services but cannot tolerate this remote that looks like it was designed in the 70s. When I call support, I’m told I’m stuck with it. Switching to Comcast.

I actually like the Gemini remote, but that response from DIRECTVhelp was just ridiculous. That support article only talks about the old remotes.

The Gemini remote my post is about doesn’t have that button. Also-the voice button has never understood a word I say, so I never use it. This is my 3rd replacement to fix that issue. My Apple TV remote works perfectly with voice commands. This is the remote I have: https://blog.solidsignal.com/tutorials/frequently-asked-questions-about-the-gemini-remote/
