Streaming issues

Just moved from xfinity to att/directv. This is my second genesis air and the first one would not allow Hulu streaming. This new one works, however, it’s constantly buffering and dropping. I’ve reset the device several times and it works, but not for very long. It’s really frustrating and I’m feeling tremendous buyers remorse.

What is the Internet speed when you run a speed test near the Gemini Air? On another device, go to speedtest.net when in the same room/area as the Gemini Air, and report back the upload and download speeds. This allows us to tell if your internet speed is the problem as far as the buffering is concerned.

Just went to login to Disney plus and got this wonderful message. Mind you, it was working well yesterday until the freezing and buffering started.

We apologize if you're unable to access Disney Plus at the moment. Can we try uninstalling and reinstalling the app, then rebooting your device before relaunching the app?  Let me know if it works.  Lynie, DIRECTV Community Specialist

I have force quit the app, deleted, redownloaded, reset, etc. I have done all of these steps repeatedly. I’m pretty tech savvy, so that makes it even more frustrating.

Have you tried the app on another device like a PC, tablet, or phone?

If I turn off the WiFi on my phone the apps will play. This is an att problem. Resetting the genesis will play the apps on the tv.

DirecTV and AT&T are 2 separate companies. Suggest you contact them.

I have. Nothing. Their solution was to replace the genesis air. Didn’t work.
