Streaming Directtv unit takes 5 minutes before sending a signal to my TV
When i start the Direct TV WIFI dongle, it can take 5 minutes (sometimes more, and sometimes less), before it delivers a signal to my tv. the unit is plugged directly into the HDMI input of my TV, i have rebooted it, reset it, powered it off, done the same to my TV no change! When it does produce a signal, then the system operates flawlessly, moving quickly between TV, Apps, Video streaming services. etc. i have AT&T fiber internet at 500mbs, so absolutely no issues there. and the AT&T wifi system.
if I use my ipad, or iphone, then the Direct TV service starts immediately.
this is really frustrating,

Are you still in the warranty period? this what you describe is not common.

Have you tried using a different HDMI port on your TV?

I’m still under warranty answer to the first question.
Yes, I have tried putting it into different HDMI inputs in my TV.
I’m still having the problem. I called the Technical Support and threw a video call was able to show what was happening. I am being sent a new device to plug in the back of the TV. The technician said they never come across that problem before and I was able to show him turning it on and the TV showing the error message of no import and then several minutes later the picture would appear, and everything would be working.
So I’ll see if the new device fixes the problem
