Stream Box Remote Sound Bar Pairing

Why is it that the remote for the Directv stream box won’t successfully turn on my Bose sound bar? When I first programmed it, it worked no problem but now it won’t turn it on. It will turn it off though! It worked once to turn it on now it’s like it doesn’t know how to do it. I did the manual setup this time entering the product’s model. I did try entering the product number but it didn’t take it. It did take the name of the model though even though it says it wants the model number.
