Soundbar on Amazon Fire TV not working

I have an Amazon basics soundbar and Amazon fire TV, the sound bar works with other apps, but it won’t work with Direct TV stream

Found the solution, when moving my soundbar I saw a sticker saying if I was using the optical cable, update audio output to PCM, and now it works.

How is the soundbar connected to your Fire TV? Have you updated DIRECTV STREAM to the latest version and attempted to restart your Fire TV in order to resolve any issues?

Hello there. We aim to provide you with the best service and sound quality on all your devices. Please try to follow the next steps to troubleshoot:

- Press the ‘Home’ button on the remote
- Press the ‘SELECT’ button on the remote
- Arrow down to select ‘Display & Sounds’, press the ‘SELECT’ button on the remote
- Select ‘Audio’, press the ‘SELECT’ button on the remote
- Select ‘Best Available’ to automatically use the best audio format, press the ‘SELECT’ button on the remote

the app is updated, restart doesn’t help (it did on HULU which had an issue) and I’m using an optical cable

@DIRECTVhelp , there is no option in the firetv settings for best audio format.
