Someone else's Frndy TV appeared on my box.

Very strange occurrence.  I bought a refurb DIRECTV STREAM box this summer from the Directv Website.   It was completely wiped when received and it went though the normal paces of set up...the trivia questions and all.    I downloaded the Frndly app and set up my account.  A few months later, I deactivated the account.    I was going to reactivate, and went to the Frndly App.  It had someone else's account on it and it was active, with all of the subscriber's recorded programs and account expiration info.    No one else has access to the box so it happened another way, but I can't figure out how.  Anyone have any ideas?

Hi @JAL123, here's some helpful info.
The account information attached currently to the box bellows to the original owner. For a better experience using the DIRECTV STREAM box, please follow the next steps to factory reset the box:
1. Press the red button for 10 or more seconds.
2.The device resets the latest version of software downloaded to the device.
3. It is necessary to go back through the complete set up of the device.
Additionally, all setting the customer saved on their device are erased, this includes but not limited to:
1. Network connection.
2. Sign in setting for both DIRECTV STREAM and Google
3. Remote Control Pairing
4. 3rd party apps downloaded
5. Favorite channels saved in the guide
6. Parental Control settings.

 As I said in my original post, the box was completely reset when I received it from DIRECTV.   It was also programmed to auto sign in to my DIRECTV Stream account without manual sign in.  Any other thoughts?
