Setting Up New Genie for Streaming the First Time
I am trying to set up my Genie device for streaming. I get to the updates section and I see that updates are being downloaded. When the blue line gets to the end, it sits forever and never goes any further. I let the downloads go for over an hour, but nothing further happened. I have reset my device and went through the same process on two different occasions to no avail. Do you have any suggestions on how to get past the downloading of updates?

Thanks everyone who commented. I was able to get my problem rectified once I talked to a very nice lady at Direct TV. In a matter of moments, she resolved my issues. It was just a matter of rebooting my router (first) and then resetting my Direct TV box (second). It only worked in that order. Everything is up and running. Thanks again.

Thanks everyone. I was able to get my issues resolved after speaking with a very nice person at Direct TV. In a matter of moments, I was directed on what to do to resolve my issue. I had to (1) reset my router and then (2) resent my Direct TV streaming box. I had done these things prior, but not in this order. It took doing this in this order for it to finalize the updates. Thanks again, everyone.
