Setting up another streaming tv
We just had 1 tv set up for streaming. Now would like to add another.
How do you add another smart tv to ATT streaming?

There is no AT&T streaming it is Directv Stream! To add Directv to another smart TV you would have to download the Directv App on the TV and then sign into your Directv Stream Account if you cannot find the Directv App on your Smart TV then your tv is not compatible with the Directv Streaming app and you would have to get an external device for streaming such as a Roku, Firestick, Directv Streaming box etc... Then you would download the app on that device and sign into your account.

Really not sure what all the issues may be with the 2nd tv setup. 1. I am unable to connect with the internet. Our Internet shows as locked. When I go to sign in on it with the “paraphrase”, not Password Hidden

Are you a DirecTV satellite subscriber trying to stream the service? What streaming devices are you using?

No, we are using the ATT streaming from fiber. We had an ATT technician hook up our fiber gateway and he also hooked up 1 of our tvs using the streaming box ATT had sent us. It works fine! Now I am trying to set up another tv using our WiFi and without a 2nd box which I thought I would be able to simply do. In the setup I am TRYING to connect to our WiFi which does show on the screen. However, it asks for our WPA2 passphrase, not Password Hidden
*Is there actually a WPA2 passphrase located somewhere?
*Do I need to get another ATT streaming box for this tv??? I thought I would be able to use the WiFi without another box as long as the tv is a smart tv?!??
Thanx to everyone’s ideas and expertise. It is quite frustrating to deal with.

There is no AT&T Streaming box. AT&T and DirecTV split into 2 different companies over a year ago. AT&T is no longer involved with the service. Now belongs totally to DirecTV. You need a box (or any streaming device) for each TV to stream.

DirecTV has apps for some types of smart TVs. Specifically, it should work on relatively recent Samsung TVs, Sony (and others with Android TV built in), and TVs with Roku or Amazon FireTV built in. There are no apps for LG, Vizio, or other. Also, how well the apps that run directly on the TVs work is an issue - there are reports that at least some of them don't work nearly as well as the apps on outboard devices. (But of course if you have a supported TV you can try for yourself.) The list of supported devices is here.
