Satellite to Stream conversion
Since I switched from DirecTV satellite to streaming, is there still a need to keep my satellite dish connected to my home or can I disconnect it?

No need to keep the dish. Most folks leave the mounting plate to prevent leaks if it's mounted on the roof.

When I converted my system, I mounted a small TV antenna where my dish was and used the existing DirecTV coaxial cable for a backup antenna system. Just needed to buy an antenna, everything else was already there.

@Doodah1
DirecTV (satellite) has nothing to do with DIRECV STREAM (streaming-only). What you do with the dish is up to you.
Highly suggested to leave mounting plate if on the roof to protect against leaks.
