return of equipment no longer needed but still keeping Directv

I need to return one of the 3 devices that I initially received. We started our service when it was still AT&T. I just need to return 1 of the 3 devices as we no longer need it and am getting charged for it.

Once you buy the Directv Streaming Boxes they are yours to keep and do with as you please once they are paid off.  There are no returns unless it is under warranty and make a claim then they will exchange your device.  But if you have had the service since it was AT&T TV then how are you still paying for your boxes?

@Mijwhite1

Do you have DirecTV (the satellite service) or DIRECTV STREAM (AT&T TV, DIRECTV NOW, etc. that is streaming-only)?

The reason we ask is the service hasn't been called AT&T TV for so long nobody would still be paying for their boxes. But if you have the satellite service then there are fees based on how many active TVs you have.

We were just confused about how you were still being charged for something from when it was AT&T as that was long ago (AT&T TV). But if you had the satellite service, then answers are a bit different. So wanted to be sure no confusion on the charges and that you were in the correct part of the forum (DirecTV vs DIRECTV STREAM).

In any case glad you don't need to worry anymore. If you have further questions, just post back and we'll help where we can.

Well, to be pedantic (which I am known for), the spin-off closed 22 months ago, so it is barely possibly that someone got an Osprey unit just before that and was paying it at $5/month, so might still owe $5 or $10 on it. </pedantic>
