Remote vrc 82-19
I have been using the DirectStream remote to control the box and Tv functions. Now the remote will not adjust the tv volume or the tv on/off functions. It will turn the box on and off and changes stations.
I have worked with customer service and they have sent new remotes that do the same thing as described above. It worked before and now it doesn’t. How can this be fixed?

Are you using IR or HDMI-CEC. My Samsung tv doesn't work with the HDMI-CED so I have that set to off. Also, did you recently change tv? Some people with Samsung tv's also have reported in the past that the TV listed under the remote settings was Sony, Make sure the correct tv is in there.

Have similar problem. Remotes control input and volume on the TV just fine, but not power.
I personally think it's a remote toggle. Some hidden setting that needs to be enabled. Had similar issue with Xfinity remotes and I needed to enter programming mode and do a key sequence to toggle the function. I really think that is the case here.
Moot really, because everything I read on how to put a vrc82-19 into programming mode don't work. Not a one of them. I was going to try to manually program the remote and try every TV code listed, just in case it was using the wrong code set. But can't get it into programming mode.
Meh. The really stupid thing is the refurbished box I bought off Amazon works perfectly. Power toggles the TV just fine. But BOTH refurbished boxes I bought from AT&T the remotes will not power cycle the TV's. Annoying as heck.
